What You Lost in Your Eyes

What did you lose?

I think of it time and time again

Where you lost a grin

with that boyish face

And Magic eyes of sin

Inside you lost your closest friend

Who was that my friend?

What did you lose again?

Soft dreamy eyes

In your bedroom,

I picture

A past place you be

Alone with no one who can see

You sob on the floor, can’t breathe

Its loss so bold, it hollows your heart beats

Because at your table sits some empty seats.

but, I’ve pulled up a chair,

I’m there

I’ve joined the team

I want your flaws, your hopes, your dreams

and I ache to listen to

whatever, it is that interests you

aches in you

takes in you

breaks in you

Where is that in you?

That missing piece, when your heart cut in two

or three, or four, God five

Grab them please, I’ll sew them to a revive

No, they’re not dead, I assure you, they’re still alive.

You’re not done yet, you’re meant to survive

Where did they fall within you?

How did you grieve?

What did you do?

What did you see?

You hold a space within me.

Where did you go?

Please grant me a steady gaze

Tired eyes of gloomy gray

They need love

I can love

man Can I love

They turn away.

I wish there was more I didn’t say

And changed at beat your fade away

I’m lost at what not to say

And I can not turn away

It sinks in my soul everyday:

Your broken heart won’t go away

A guest for life, it will constant stay

Trancing eyes, please don’t turn away

I can’t convey

In your ghost, I lay

I can’t close my eyes

Though I softly pray

My friend

My love, yes in love whom I can’t love

So my friend

Please let me stay

Don’t turn me away

I’m not fair-weathered I do not sway

Break to a better day

If friend I have to stay

I will not turn away.

Let me stay

Don’t push me away

There’s more to not say

Please see a brighter day

I will not turn away.

As I’m here at bay

I choose to stay

Grief dark eyes

Afraid of lies

those Mesmer—eyes

Where did they cry?

What did in you die?

Where do their bodies lie?

How turned your gray sky?

Within those piercing eyes?

Where did some glimmer die?

When can I give back spark

Where you see you’re dark?

What pulls you subject as a slave?

And has you fear an early grave?

You’re strong, the tip of iceberg is where you are

You’ll make it there, beyond the ice: You’re a burning star

please know you are

I know you are

And makes you turn away?

Those Ocean eyes

oh they make mine cry

but, do not lie…

Though your words do try

at first sight

in me, love did revive

I’m not here to deceive or contrive

God damn, you make me feel alive.

so even if I can’t have it my way

I’m really here to stay

Locked in you eyes’ sea gray

my eyes can not turn away.
