So critical thinking ability using logic is less accessible to regulate emotional responses when you are angry. And it definitely makes it harder to engage the prefrontal cortex which plays a big part In empathy and understanding cause and effect. So basically, angry you is a dumber version of you. It should only be activated sparingly: because ape, angry you is way less good at keeping you out of jail and keeping close relationships.
